To the Ball at the Castle

On 19 June 2026, the special exhibition To the Ball at the Castle opens at Gavnø Castle. In the castle’s most beautiful rooms, visitors can experience 33 headpieces and hair ornaments, most of them created especially for the exhibition by some of Denmark’s finest goldsmiths and jewellery designers.

Inspired by the historical portraits at Gavnø Castle, where pearls are woven into women’s hair, Pearl Bloom reinterprets this tradition in a contemporary sculptural form. The movement of the pearls and the glow of the aquamarines create a poetic and timeless expression.
