The Opera pieces came to life in 2015.
Two golden theaters, with little sceneplays from the Operas “Tosca” and “Madame Butterfly”, that can be worn as necklaces or placed in a specially made frame as little art pieces to admire, when they are not worn.
The exhibition took place at my shop, with a wonderful performance of “acts” from the two operas, performed by opera singer Anne Margrethe Dahl.

Since the exhibition took place, more pieces to this small series have come to life. Among others, the Madame Butterfly ring, The Tosca necklace and ear studs with the little orchid flowers.

Materials used:
Gold and Top Wesselton diamonds.

Madame Butterfly 18 kt. Gold
Tosca Theater, 18 kt. Gold
Tosca ring, 18 kt. Gold with diamonds

Every 5 years the Copenhagen Goldsmith Guild has an event titled “City of Jewelleries”, which is a large-scale exhibit spread out across venues all across Copenhagen. The Opera Exhibition was a part of this. Guild members collaborate to create an exhibit around a common theme, that puts focus on the goldsmith craft, while also giving guests an opportunity to get up close and personal, giving them a look into their workshops.
