Konkylie Ring

White amber and golden amber and 18k Gold
link that can be replaced - the ring in 18k gold
closes with a diamond screw

Designed for the "Jewels of the Sea" special event -
Fjord & Bælt in Kertemindes 2020.

For the 2020 Jewels of the Sea exhibit at Fjord og Bælt museum in Kerteminde, I was given the option to work with either Pearls, Corals or Amber.

I took on the challenge of working with Amber, as its the only precious stone native to Denmark and also a medium that I had never work worked with before.

I landed on making a ring in a shape and expression inspired by a small and cute Pinnochio figure, based on a childrens stacking toy I bought in Florence back in 2006.

Just like a toy, the various parts on the ring can interchanged.
